Welcome to our Web Site!

As I mull over the million ideas, worries, concerns, readings, and research on my quest to start a breeding program, I'm overflowing with a firehose of information. I figured I'll need to set up a web-presence eventually, so I would start now. At the moment, I only have Teak, an incredibly sweet neutered 8.5 year old Australian Shepherd - so not much for breeding prospects! But since our girl Sunny passed away several months ago, he has been a bit lonely, and I've been giving another puppy a lot of thought... Losing a great dog is a terrible, terrible heartache... but the one thing I have found solace in is knowing that they were able to participate not only in my life, but touch others as well. I enjoy sharing my dogs and their accomplishments with others at various dog-titling events we go to, on social-media, as therapy dogs, or simply showing off their fantastic heeling at a strip mall and letting people pet them...

So it got me thinking about what I could do to help improve our breeds' longevity, temperaments, and genetics so that they wouldn't have to be a roll of the dice for the family that loves them. I want a child to grow up and remember a great dog their family or grandparents had, and to be able to still get a genetically diverse, healthy, and robust dog with the same sweet temperament that made such an impact on their memories.

My goal is simple - I want to break hearts; through wonderful dogs who have enriched lives in profound ways after a very long, healthy, and trouble-free life.

*Please note the dogs currently depicted on the website as of June 2019 were not bred by me, but are the fantastic dogs I've loved and owned bred by Aliyah Australian Shepherds and Silkgrass Kennels.
